Worldwide Elections Guide

Election day is November 7, 2006. The last day to register and be eligible to vote in the November General Election is October 23, 2006.

Elections are the benchmark of the democratic political process. This site aims to collect election information from around the block to around the world. This collection is a good starting place for any research needs on elections in the US and beyond. It includes various web and print resources in presidential, federal, state, local and world elections.

At the local level, don't forget to visit the San Diego County Registrar of Voters to register to vote, find your polling place and get information to make you a better, more informed voter. State and local ballot propositions are a frequent part of the electoral process. Information on current and historic state propositions can be found in the CA propositions section of this guide.

For UCSD faculty, students and staff, the National Journal offers a robust site to start your research on including advertisements across the political spectrum, Almanac of elected officials, Campaign archives 1997 - present, and national poll tracking.
