The Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CSES): a collaborative program of cross-national research in over fifty states, conducts research on the effects of electoral institutions on citizens’ attitudes and behavior, and democratic institutions across different political regimes.

CNN World Election Watch:  provides information on parties and election results of countries. Searchable by individual country.

Elections around World: provides election information on presidents, political parties, parliaments, and related political web sites around the world.

Election Resources on the Internet: provides the detailed regional and international election statistics and other international election resources.

Elections and Electoral Systems around world: a collection of election related web sites and links to each country’s major election web sites.

International Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA): an intergovernmental organization, provides comprehensive political participation statistics since 1945 including total vote, voting age, percentage of voters to registered, etc.

International Foundation Election System (IFES): IFED, a non-profit NGO, has been part of the electoral process in over 100 countries lending its expertise to supporting the four pillars of democracy.  Provides election results, dates, and related web sites.

The Keele Guide: links to various electoral system web sites, information on electoral data and election results, arranged by country.

Lijphart Elections Archive: The archive, housed at the University of California, San Diego campus, is a research collection of district level election results for approximately 350 national legislative elections in 26 countries.

Psephos:  provides a comprehensive 167 countries’ electoral information and latest international electoral news.

Parline database: The database, searchable by each county, region and sub-region, provides documents of each country’s parliamentary structure.

Political Studies Association:  provides a collection of over 6,000 links to political information sources on the internet.

Africa

Elections in Africa: The past ten years: A working paper on African elections from the Royal Institute of International Affairs. Note: access restricted to UCSD IP address.

Elections –Africa: Political Studies Association web site includes information on electoral systems, election results and links to each country’s electoral commission web sites.

Asia

 

Central Asia, Caucasus Election Watch: provides information and analysis about political, economic, environmental and social developments in the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus, as well as in Russia, the Middle East, and Southwest Asia.

Elections – Asia: Political Studies Association web site offers information on electoral systems, election results and electoral commission web sites by country.

Electoral Systems in Asia: provides political data including presidential and parliamentary election results and individual country profiles.

Europe

Electoral Results in Europe: listed by country, contains information on electoral results, political parties in European countries.

European Elections Monitor: provides national election results, analysis and web sites to political parties.

European Political Resource: links to political parties, organizations, governments, and media from around the world, listed by country.

Guardian Unlimited Politics | Europe: covers elections in Europe and provides election results, statistics and links to election news.

Parties and Elections in Europe: offers information on parliamentary elections in European countries since 1945 including an electoral calendar, news, and links to political parties around the world.

Database on Central and Eastern Europe Elections: This site, a joint project of the University of Essex, the International Foundation for Election Systems and the Association of Central and Eastern European Election Officials, provides legislation information, election results, candidate data, constituency data, election laws and more.

Latin America and the Caribbean

Latin American Election Statistics: by Karen Lindvall-Larson, Latin American Studies Bibliographer at the UCSD Libraries, a chronology of elections since independence at the municipal, state, and federal levels in selected Spanish-speaking Latin American countries that also lists sources of statistics for each election as identified. Other countries are added as they are completed.

Common Borders: This non-partisan organization participates as an observer in international elections. The web site provides election news and reports on Latin American area.

Latin American Network Information Center Election Information: contains recent and archived election information as well as links to general web resources.

Overview of Latin America Electoral Systems: contains brief summaries of the electoral systems in Latin America.

Political database of Americas: a non-governmental Internet-based project from Georgetown University that provides reference materials, primary documents, comparative studies and statistical data for countries in the Western Hemisphere.

Middle East

Arab Social Science Research: Provides links to elections sites from Middle Eastern countries frmo Algeria to Yemen. Created by the Arab Institute for Studies and Communication (AISC).

Elections – Middle East: Political Studies Association web site offers information on electoral systems, election results and electoral commission web sites by country in the middle east region.

Electoral Systems in the Middle East: provides political data including presidential and parliamentary election results and individual country profiles.
