Announcements:

Tammy expressed her appreciation to the Outreach Committee for their work over the past year.

Updates:

Winter Quarter Author Talk with Lisa Sun Hee Park, Ethnic Studies Dept, is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21 at 4pm. Allie will ask Cross-Cultural center if they want to partner with us.

Discussion:

Author Talk Programs:

• Allie distributed results from the Schreibner talk audience survey.
• Committee discussed the library's goal for author talks, which is to promote SSHL, make its presence known, including collections and services
• Brainstorming for future author talks ensued

Future Art Exhibits

• It was decided that SSHL should continue to host art exhibits because they support SSHL outreach goals, in particular, library as place and drawing faculty, students & staff to see the work of other faculty, students & staff.

Art Exhibit Policy Discussion

• Committee reviewed and discussed a draft policy and artist release form prepared by Allie. Allie will continue to work on the policies and guidelines. Send additional comments about the draft policies to Allie. Committee will return to this issue at the next OC meeting.

OC Budget

• Allie distributed OC approved 2005/06 budget and expenditures
