Reference and Documents Tools Funds
Description:
The funds for Reference and the Documents tools are two separate funds designed to purchase materials to assist the members of Research Services perform their primary position responsibilities. Examples of materials purchased with the funds are dictionaries, handbooks, manuals, newsletters, etc. Specialized tools that duplicate items in the collection are generally denied. In addition, software for your desktop, such as html editors, is not within the parameters of the fund and should be referred to the Technical Services Unit for purchase.
Managing the Ref and Docs Tools Fund:
Elisabeth Leonard manages the Reference Tool fund and Megan Dreger manages the Docs tool fund. The fund reports will go to the respective managers of the funds.
Procedures for Ordering:
Requests from members of Research Services for reference tools should be sent to Elisabeth and requests for document tools to Megan for review.
