Reserves

Welcome

Located on the entry level of the Geisel Library building, behind the Social Sciences and Humanities Library Circulation Desk, the SSHL Course Reserves Collection is available all hours the SSH Library is open. SSHL Course Reserves houses paper and CD Rom material for all social sciences and humanities and some science courses. Music, film and video, and slide formats are housed elsewhere in Geisel Library. SSHL Course Reserves does not house material for graduate level science and engineering courses, or upper division science and engineering, mathematics, biology, or biochemistry.

Mission

In support of UCSD Libraries' goal of continued excellence in customer service, the Social Sciences and Humanities Library (SSHL) Reserves Unit will make every endeavor to improve the efficiency, and timeliness of delivery of services to its clients. SSHL Reserves clients are defined as students of UCSD, faculty, and staff members who receive or request the services of SSHL Reserves for the purpose of instructing and enriching the intellectual lives of students. SSHL Reserves will continue to pursue relationships with other departments throughout UCSD in order to make effective use of technology, and any other resources.
