Information for Faculty

Photocopied journal articles, solution sets, or other photocopied material can be submitted in person at the SSHL circulation desk or through campus mail.  If you choose campus mail,  please address any material to be put on reserve to Course Reserves 0175-L.  However, bringing your material to the SSHL circulation desk is the fastest way for material to get on reserves. 

The SSHL circulation desk is located at the immediate entrance of the Geisel Library. When you bring in material to put on reserve, there will be a form to fill out which will ask for the following information:

If at all possible, you should provide 2 or more copies depending on class size. Experience has shown that 1 copy is insufficient no matter what the class size.

We cannot photocopy materials, so please be sure to supply us with the proper number of copies that you wish to put on reserve.  All professor supplied material will be returned via campus mail at the conclusion of the quarter.  If you would prefer to pick up your material at the end of the quarter, please indicate that on the reserves submission form or contact the reserves unit before the end of the quarter.

Copies must be no larger than 8 ˝ x 11 inches. We will need at least a one inch margin on the left side of all pages. Note that on pages copied on both sides, the margin will be on the left side on the front side of the copy and on the right side of the reverse.
